By now, you have probably figured out how much I value self-care, and especially as a psychotherapist. I have previously written about the different types of self-care and have a list of 15 self-care ideas that takes 5 minutes or less.
The fact of the matter is, self-care is not to be undermined. It is so crucial to your well-being that lack thereof can affect your overall health.
When you habitually tend to your needs and have a regular self-care routine, a few of them can become coping skills when you’re feeling overwhelmed and dealing with stressful situations.
It is good to have those 5-minute go-to’s self-care ideas when we lack time. However, it is equally, if not more important, to spend quality time taking care of yourself.
Life is busy, I know, but if you do not incorporate at least one of the following activities into your daily routine, you may not be able to keep up with life after all.
Spending time taking care of yourself should not be a difficult or monotonous task. However, given the busy life that you live, the following activities can really challenge you to cater to your self-care needs in every aspect; emotionally, physically, mentally, socially, etc.
