As a stay at home mom, I use lists and schedules for everything. When my house gets too messy, my head spins, I start to become anxious and I notice a difference in my mood.

  • You get better sleep. A messy home can cause anxiety and keep you up at night. But using a cleaning schedule regularly which includes washing your bedding regularly can improve your quality of sleep

Tuesday: Bedrooms

  • Wash all bedding

Wednesday: Kitchen

  • Trash day (your trash day might be different)

 

Thursday: Living Room

  • Clean under couches/chair 
  • Vacuum couches & chairs 
  • Sweep/vacuum/mop floor
  •  Dust everything
  • Wash windows

 

Friday: Miscellaneous

  • Wipe switches/door knobs 
  • Wipe baseboards
  • Clean out fridge
  • Tidy up home office 
  • Clean/vacuum inside of car 
  • Put gas in car
  • Wash car
  • Run errands

 

Saturday:

  • Grocery shopping
  • Clean my purse
  • Car check (tires/fluids/appointment)

 

Sunday:

  • Meal planning
  • Quality time w/ family
  • Go to church

Keeping up with cleaning the house can be overwhelming, but using a stay at home mom cleaning schedule has been a game-changer for me.

I do better at getting things done when they are written down and in the form of a checklist. I still have mom brain now and again and with the kids always pulling me away while engaging in a task, it can be easy to forget to complete that task.
